Both Teams had challenges over the past week, Cooper was able to rebound after a hard fought loss to Benilde St. Margaret by beating a decent playing St.Louis Park team 65-60. Having a Solid Veteran in F Vanessa Saidu who’s able to present different opportunities offensively gives Cooper advantages in the Paint Area(s). The Lady Hawks aren’t the tallest on paper, but through athleticism and quick hands they are able to come up with turnovers.

The Islanders were able to regroup after an embarrassing loss to Minnetonka in just the second game of the season. A program that is young and rebuilding, the Islanders may had their hands full early , but have found ways to lessen their load with two impressive wins, one coming by a one point victory over Mankato East 65-64, then a dominating victory over Richfield 78-26. Aneisha Scott leads the Islanders into a match needed to further swing the pendulum the Islanders way.
